Demolisher - Enter The Suffering
- Points: 8,5 / 10
- The band was chosen to Tuskasi.com line-up
More metallic action coming from the deepest underground tunnels of Helsinki city. Demolisher is a group of five guys, who are armed with utmost demolishing musical equipments. I'm not only talking about instruments, but especially these fellas have lots of talent. Just a while ago the band released the three song EP "Enter The Suffering", which is a really good specimen of that early mentioned skillfulness. Basically everything is constructed on traditional Death Thrash Metal, but there are also some parts bringing out the Power of the 90's American Heavy Metal. The respective and firm structure has taken its shape from all those elements and now the band is ready to kick some serious ass.
"Say Goodbye...To Your Beautiful Life" starts to engine restrainedly, but after a small intro the real beating begins. Screeching guitars lead deep down into the musty world of Demolisher. Somewhere behind vocals and instruments hit as a sharp pick-axe, cutting that musty air into half and instead of pain it causes a joyful pleasure. Bullit's singing voice ain't yet that special or original, but at least it leaves some space to grow in that section. Otherwise the rest of the boys are taking their places in the band as it should be done. Thrilling excitement holds strickly till the end of the final track "Dark Circle", which holds such a large scale of Metal genres in it. Sawing Thrash Metal riffs, stampeding Doom Metal marching, the spirit of Death coming towards... I guess this is all about entering that specific suffering, which this whole EP is all about.
"Enter The Suffering" might not be the easiest one of its kind to approach, but it'll surely reward the listener after repeating it a few times in a row. One certain thing is sure, these guys won't hold still for a long period. Of course depending on actions taken by the band the future might glow in an enormous amount of dark light, which this whole record already emits. The greatest thing must be that it doesn't matter if you're a newage Metal kid or an old school headbanger, Demolisher has it all to show, because their flexible Metal music simply pleases Metal people. If you're not scared about being demolished by this crew then better go to their site and start downloading their songs immediately. You won't regret it.
