Demolisher - Promo 2008

Helsinki's Demolisher more or less continues where they ended on the previous demo Enter the Suffering. The Finns use many of the same elements, but try different ideas as well. It's obvious that the band is not afraid to expand their sound and experiment a bit. Demolisher seemed to focus mostly on modern death metal on Enter the Suffering, but on Promo 2008 the band mix both modern and old. The song-writing has matured and it shows.

The songs are detailed and the riffs are meaty and interesting. The music is for the most part mid-tempo orientated, but the Finns do blast a bit now and then. The songs are heavy, groovy and have an almost Torture Killer kind of vibe to them at times. Demolisher play tight and convincing and the crisp production make it all complete. If the band continues as on Promo 2008 then I'm sure it won't be long before they ink a deal with a label.
